One of my friends who got an IUD told me they literally take two clamps to pull your vagina open so they can insert it. The clamps dug into her and she bled afterwards. She said it was very painful. I heard this story (this was back in 2016) and I decided to never get an IUD. Luckily, the pill works for me fine (for now).
